Should Holocaust denial be taken seriously? Plus the Dutch, and stuff on German’s “justice”

Yes. We have had two people in the US murdered in the last few months directly because of Holocaust deniers.

1. Johanna Justin-Jinich,

Wesleyan University, a female student was murdered recently by a man holding the “Protocols of zion”, a Russian fabrication. And people say that crackpots don’t matter, eh? Shame on the NY Times for not telling the full truth, that this guy was a crackpot who read- and more importantly, believed in- the “Protocols”. This was an anti-semitic hate crime, and the NY Times doesn’t have the courage to post the truth.

” Police on Thursday urged Wesleyan University and local Jewish leaders to be “extra vigilant” after concluding that a man suspected of fatally shooting a Wesleyan student at a bookstore may be targeting the school and Jews.”  If he was being represented as being interested in her, then why would this other paper say he may have been targeting “Jews?”

More accuracy here:

Police said the writings by Morgan they found included one passage that read, “I have to kill Jenn. I think it’s OK to kill Jenn and kill the Jews at this school. … The want and need to kill Jenn and the Jews is there.”

Investigators say they also recovered a copy of an infamous anti-Semitic book, “Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” from Morgan’s motel room in Middlefield.

The book is a widely read text now generally debunked as an anti-Semitic hoax purporting a plot by Jews seeking world domination. It’s considered a pretext for anti-Semitism in the early 20th century and remains influential in those circles today. Here, they got the story out.

Justin-Jenich was the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor.

2. Officer Stephen Tyron Johns, US Holocaust Museum

was shot by a white supremacist who wrote racist blogs.

The Dutch and Holocaust denial laws. The Netherlands lost most of its Jewish population. I don’t think they should permit Holocaust denial. They should instead have a gigantic mirror placed in a public train station where everyone there has to see their own reflection, and next to it, a giant portrait of Anne Frank.

more Nazis at large:

Karl Gropler (Wollin)

Georg Rauch (Rümmingen)

Gerhard Sommer (Hamburg)

Alfred Mathias Concina (Freiberg)

Werner Bruss (Reinbek bei Hamburg)

Heinrich Schendel (Ortenberg)

Ludwig Göring (Karlsbad)

The seven men were members of the Waffen SS “Reichsführer” division that slaughtered some 560 Italian civilians in the infamous massacre of Sant’Anna di Stazzema in August 1944. Some 80% of the victims were women, children, and elderly persons. In June 2005, an Italian court found the seven men guilty of murder for their roles in the massacre. They have never faced punishment, however, because Germany refuses to extradite them.

Moreover, even larger fishes in the Nazi order, including such as bore direct responsibility in implementing the Nazis’ genocidal “Jewish policy,” have avoided prosecution. (On the example of Hans Gmelin, see my earlier discussion here. Gmelin was the father of Herta Däubler-Gmelin, the former German minister of justice who famously compared George Bush to Adolf Hitler.) The 1968 “backdoor amnesty” in fact specifically benefited the bureaucratic planners of the Holocaust in the so-called Reich Main Security Office (RSHA). Other larger fishes were brought to trial, but got off with mindbogglingly light sentences or were acquitted. The SS officer Joseph Oberhauser, for example, was in charge of all the foreign “volunteer helpers” at Treblinka, Sobibor, and Belzec. In 1965, the Munich District Court found him guilty of complicity in the murder of some 300,000 persons. His sentence? Four years and six months in prison. As the German legal historian Ingo Müller has observed, this works out to a total of 7.8 minutes for each of his victims. All eight of Oberhauser’s codefendants — every one of them an SS officer — were acquitted.

One Response to “Should Holocaust denial be taken seriously? Plus the Dutch, and stuff on German’s “justice””

SUBURBAN NAZI KEPT A CLEAN LAWNMichael Gruber was deported, but he lived, and his son lives still at ——.

Respondent, in his sworn statements and in his pleadings, adamantly denies ever performing guard duty at the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp from on or about January 20, 1943 until on or about September 4, 1944. The Government contends that its evidence demonstrates that respondent served as an SS Death’s Head guard at Sachsenhausen concentration camp near Oranienburg from on or about January 20, 1943 to on or about September 4, 1944 and assisted in the persecution of persons because of their race, religion, national origin or political opinion. This Court finds that based upon the witness testimony and documentary evidence presented, the Government has established by clear, unequivocal, and convincing evidence that respondent, as an SS Death’s Head Battalion Guard did, in fact, assist in the persecution of others under § 237(a)(4)(D) of the Act, 8 U.S.C. § 1227(a)(4)(D), and therefore is removable from the United States.
Central to the Government’s case are 2 documents, namely an SS camp personnel card in the name of Michael Gruber (Exhibit1), and the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Transfer List to Kurmark (Transfer List) which specifically identifies respondent as a Waffen SS Death’s Head Guard (Exhibit 3). The two corroborating documents specifically mention respondent by name and by birth date and constitute clear, unequivocal, and convincing evidence that respondent served as a Waffen SS Death’s Head Battalion Guard at the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. (Exhibit 1, 3). These were administrative documents used by the Nazis to keep control over their soldiers and their whereabouts, thus their reliability is certain; it would have been counter-productive for the Nazis to fabricate such information.

The content of these two documents are further corroborated.
